This course covers basic concepts of information systems and enables the students to develop their understanding of computer-based information system components, functions, and roles in organisations. The students will study different types of business information systems, their acquisition process, and the management challenges associated with their use.

"Programming and Problem Solving" is a foundational course in the Information Systems degree program, designed to equip students with essential programming skills and computational thinking techniques. This course covers the basics of programming languages, algorithms, and data structures, emphasizing practical problem-solving strategies. Students will learn to write, test, and debug code, developing the ability to tackle complex problems systematically and efficiently, preparing them for advanced topics in computing and information systems.
