NOTICE
STUDENTS UNION NOMINATION – 2026
Submission of Nominations
As prescribed for in UCSC Students Union By-Law 2003 the Election Officer for nomination of UCSC student union, 2023 is Dr. M.I.E. Wickramasinghe (Senior Lecturer). The following Office Bearers of the Students Union have to be elected from among the general body of the students registered for the Academic Year 2025 in the University of Colombo School of Computing (UCSC).
(i) President
(ii) Vice – President
(iii) Secretary
(iv) Editor
(v) Junior Treasurer
(vi) Such other number of members as determined in the following manner. 08 members for over 600 registered students.
The composition of the 08 members should be as follows proportionate to the number of students in batches.

In addition to above members, two (2) representatives (official) could also be selected to represent the Board of Study Internal Undergraduate degrees. Other two (2) students also can be selected representing the relevant batch as invitees for the Board of Study Internal Undergraduate degrees. Accordingly, the four students can represent the each batch exists in UCSC.
Nomination for election to the above posts should forward through the following google form from 25.06.2026 at 1.00p.m. to 26.06.2026 at 1.00p.m. (24hrs).

Nomination Displaying
The list of Nominations will be displayed on the Notice Boards/LMS in the Institute from 2. 30 p.m. on 26.06.2026.
Submission of Objections
If there are any errors or omissions in the list of Nominations, they should be informed to the Election Officer on or before 03.00 p.m. on 26.06.2026 at UCSC Board Room.
Any appeals for the correction list of Nominations will not be entertained thereafter.
