Awarding of Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Certificates – 2023/2024

The Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund is pleased to inform you that the students in the attached list have been selected for the award of a merit scholarship in accordance with the recommendation of the University Grants Commission.

1. Your Mahapola Scholarship Certificate for the 2023/24 academic year will be presented at a ceremony to be held on 12.05.2026 from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute, under the patronage of the Prime Minister of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Hon. Harini Amarasuriya.

2. Students are requested to arrive before 8.30 a.m. on 12.05.2026 and bring:

• This letter

• National Identity Card

• University Identity Card

3. Please note that failure to obtain the scholarship certificate may result in the inability to disburse scholarship benefits.

4. Students are kindly requested to attend the event dressed appropriately to ensure the successful completion of the ceremony.

5. Your invitation letter for the award ceremony can be obtained from the Academic and Publication Division of UCSC.

Awareness Program on Bank Account Opening & Credit Cards

All students are hereby informed that an awareness program conducted by the Bank of Ceylon (BOC) will be held to educate undergraduates on bank account opening procedures and the use of credit cards.

This program aims to enhance students’ financial literacy and introduce modern banking facilities, including online banking services.

Important:
BOC bank accounts can be opened for students of all academic years during this program.

Target Group:

• Credit Card Awareness – Third and Fourth Year Students

• Account Opening – All Students

Date: 11^th May 2026 (Monday)
Time: 9.00 a.m. onwards
Venue: UCSC Premises – Open Area
