The UCSC Library is pleased to introduce the new KOHA Library Management System to provide improved and efficient library services.

To get started, please log in to your KOHA account and complete the following:

1.      Change your password after your first login.

2.      Check and update your personal details.

3.      Set your University Email Address as the Primary Email.

4.      Set your Personal Email Address as the Secondary Email.

5.      Update your Research and Reading Interests in your library profile.

Providing your Research and Reading Interests will help the UCSC Library share relevant new books, e-books, research articles, IEEE and ACM resources, subject-specific updates, and other recommended learning materials based on your interests. Please refer to the following user guides for assistance:

UNIVERSITY OF COLOMBO SCHOOL OF COMPUTING (UCSC)

CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

SCHOLARSHIPS FROM STUDENT WELFARE AND DISTRESS FUND – 2026 

and

IFS SCHOLARSHIP – 2026

Applications are invited from UCSC students who are in need of financial aid and who have not yet received any kind of financial assistance (except of Mahapola and Bursary) to cover the cost and expenses during the current Academic Year. This financial support will be given from the Student Welfare and Distress Fund of UCSC and outside Donors. Please note that number of such opportunities shall be decided according to the finance availability and number of student requests.

Procedure of submission of Application

Students are strictly advised to fill the application form and the relevant Google form to apply for the above scholarships.

Submission of Printed Application Form

The students are kindly requested to download the application form from the Undergraduate VLE. The duly completed application form, together with all required supporting documents (such as income reports, copies of bank passbooks, and any other relevant documents), should be forwarded to the Senior Assistant Registrar/Academic, Publications and Welfare, UCSC, No. 35, Reid Avenue, Colombo 07, by post on or before 21st August 2026.

The selections will be made by an Interview panel by considering the academic performance, financial needs of the candidates and relevant scholarship criteria in the UCSC.

Notes;

1. Requests for amendments to the examination timetable should be submitted collectively through the respective student representatives on or before 29th July 2026 at 6.00 p.m. Individual requests will not be considered.
2. The timetable has been prepared after careful consideration of the Inter University Games schedule and the Faculty of Science examination timetable for courses conducted jointly with the Faculty of Science. Therefore, the Examination Division may not be in a position to accommodate all requests for changes. Accordingly, only requests supported by valid and exceptional grounds will be considered.
